The Ghost Art Gallery was established in 1974 in the historic mining district of Helena. The original gallery was small and offered mostly paintings of buildings and themes from the several surrounding ghost towns; thus the name Ghost Art.
Our framing and design area is located above the gallery in what used to be Big Dorothy’s brothel. Ghost Art Gallery has grown to 4200 square feet and specializes in western and wildlife art, featuring over 80 of Montana’s finest artists.
We carry limited edition art from the following publishers: Greenwich Workshop, Mill Pond Press, Hadley House, and Somerset House Publishing. Along with art we have the highest quality framing with certified picture framers on staff.

The Parrot, a reknown confectionery, is located in downtown Helena on the historic Walking Mall since 1922. It has gained a worldwide reputation for quality hand-dipped chocolates made from fresh, natural ingredients and utilizing up to ten tons of chocolate each year. The Parrot produces a selection of 130 different types of candy, using recipes devised by its original owners. Favorites include a turtle-like confection called a parrot, chocolate-covered caramels, almond butter toffee and other delectable creams, nuts and chews.
For Helenans who grew up with the Parrot and reluctantly moved away, and for visitors who discover the habit-forming nature of these fine candies, The Parrot ships gift boxes and special orders throughout the world. Choose from our assorted chocolates, general assortment or roasted nuts in boxes ranging from one to five pounds.
A visit to The Parrot is as rich as the heaping trays of chocolates, brittles, mint wafers and roasted nuts that adorn the candy counter. The original soda fountain still serves up cherry phosphates and caramel cashew sundaes prepared with handmade ice cream, sauces, toppings, and syrups. And loyal lunch customers line up regularly for a bowl of The Parrot’s secret recipe chili.
