From photography and paintings to ceramics and live performances, the Fall Art Walk showcases a diverse range of artwork created by Montana artists.

Downtown Helena Inc. members need to register but no payment is required as your membership includes the Fall Art Walk.

Not a Downtown Helena Inc. member but want to participate in Fall Art Walk? Non-Member cost of registration is $100.

Celebrating Local Artists

The Fall Art Walk is an annual event organized by Downtown Helena, Inc. and co-sponsored by the Business Improvement District which draws hundreds of people downtown for a fun and vibrant night.

This highly anticipated annual event is dedicated to displaying Helena’s finest artists hosted by Downtown businesses. This event brings downtown businesses, local artists, and the Helena community together to experience a variety of art in unique venues throughout downtown.

There will be free food and beverages, live music, and door prizes at select locations. Come celebrate the arts at the Fall Art Walk!

Bobbi deMontigny of Windy Valley Studio adds a little dysfunction to functional pottery by combining expressive illustrations with hand thrown locally sourced stoneware. The addition of cranky rabbits, paper airplanes in space, or lively watercolor gardens ensure these pieces will artfully serve a bowl of ice cream, just as well as a soothing hot cup of coffee.

Carl James -Born in Durango, Colorado in 1945, Carl grew up in Western Colorado and started painting around 1965. He received an engineering degree from Western State University and worked for five different federal agencies in four states over his career. He and his wife moved to Montana in 2000 and he retired in 2008. Over the years, he has painted and either sold or given away upwards of one hundred+/- oil paintings ranging in size from very small to two feet by four feet. Portraits are a favorite subject with beautiful scenery coming in second.

Greg Cejka is a 3D artist, maker, and shop teacher working in wood, metal, and fiberglass. He uses his materials efficiently, preferring to recycle old wood and metal and dumpster-dive for inspiration.  He excels at all forms of hands-on crafts, from sewing and jewelry-making to welding and leathercraft.

Rev. Kelly Sloan has been working with wood for 30 + years.  Favorite thing to do in her shop is to take old branches, logs, and dead trees, etc. and make them into something beautiful.  There is always something beautiful inside an old dead log.

Fusion Robotics:

Come see some amazing robots, from the imagination of some incredible minds who, draw, design, engineer, build and program these amazing machines.

Fusion Robotics is made up of school kids from both Helena middle and high schools, grades 7 through the 12.

Fusion robotics is a diverse, inclusive and equitable team, that builds a new robot each year to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge. In the last nine years, Fusion has won the state championship eight times and advanced to the World championships four times.

Steve Erb creates stunning fabric bowls and other fiber arts from his llamas and alpaca ranch, where he also runs a small spinning mill, turning raw alpaca fiber into yarn for distribution.
