2020 Creation Status

Update as of 10/30/2019

The governing body, City of Helena, has been presented with a receipt of more than 60% of the property owners signed petitions. City staff are currently drafting the Resolution of Intent (ROI) and we look for formalizing the creation for another ten year in January 2020.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to our continued work.

The BID seeks creation of the District

The goal of the HBID is to maintain, beautify, and stimulate development in Downtown Helena. Your affirmative vote and contribution will provide ongoing efforts in our program areas as well as other areas of economic development. The renewal of the HBID is dependent upon your vote. Without it, the downtown and all our positive momentum may falter. Unless the HBID is renewed, there likely will be NO targeted funds to support the programs or projects currently maintained by the HBID staff. Please consider the entire program, what it does for the overall appearance and vitality for the Helena community.

On May 7, 2019 the vote began. The petitions were mailed to all property owners. Once we receive 60% of the signed petitions, we will look to the City of Helena to formally create the district for another ten-year cycle.

If you have any questions, please contact any Board member or the Executive Director. We look forward to continuing our work and thank you for your support!
