Parade of Lights
Join us downtown for the annual Parade of Lights! The parade will start at the intersection of Placer and Last Chance Gulch and will end at Anchor Park–culminating in the lighting of the Fire Tower. This year’s theme is Oro y Plata. Since the creation of the first official seal for the Montana Territory, the motto “Oro y Plata” has been linked to Montana. Spanish for “gold and silver,” the motto was chosen to reflect two elements that were vital to the Montana economy.
Participants are encouraged to approach the theme broadly and creatively.
Note: Floats or organizations expressing pejorative or discriminatory stances with reference to a person or a group on the basis of who they are (in other words, based on their religion, ethnicity, nationality, race, color, descent, gender or other identity factor) will be prohibited from participating in the Parade.
Also, float inclusion does ≠ DHI endorsement/support of cause or organization.
Registration will close on Monday, November 21.
